A comparison between the effects of degraded and non-degraded organic matters on the suppression of chickpea fusarium wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. Ciceris

A field study was conducted in Girdarasha research station, belongs to the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences (CAES), Salahaddin University, Erbil Province, Kurdistan Region, Iraq. The objective investigate effects adding plant materials on suppression chickpea fusarium wilt disease caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. ciceris. Two residues, fresh (non-degraded) and composted (degraded) from three sources leaves were added soil. Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus camaldulensis), Dodonea (Dodonaea viscosa), Neem (Azadirachta indica) used as sources. Results showed domination matters over non-composted their measured parameters (disease incidence, severity, height, seed yield). Composted surpassed other residues decreasing severity. Nevertheless, had greatest effect increasing both yield height. growth rate an exception because it not affected addition these matters.
